Default Mercenary heroes and builds

Heya everyone!

I'm opening this topic because I can't find some useful mercenary hero builds around here. I've only seen a few of them. The topic I'm mostly looking trough (IMO useful for inspiration!) is: So which of those 7 hero builds are working?
Sorry if there was already a topic/reply which asked about this.

A few days ago I bought this 8 mercenary hero pack. Anyways really cool to have my own characters as heroes and also very useful.

But now. What kind of awesome teambuilds can be created together with merc heroes? People came to me with different ideas like 8-man discordway (not my favourite and not very original, though) or using more than 2 mesmers/rits. Or maybe something with just 8 necro's but now discord? Or just a regular (without mercs) hero teambuild with additional mercs added?

Myself I was thinking about adding a mesmer which would arrange some energy denial or adding a ritualist with protective spirits (Union, displacement, etc.)

Everything with 7 heroes works, aslong as you have some heals and prots. It's just upto you to decide which builds work best for you.

8 PI mesmers. Don't bring any other skills, just knocklock everything and wand it to death for the greater lulz.

Seriously though, once you get past 3 of a single class you get into heavy diminishing returns for most classes, mesmer being the only exception IMHO. And since rit/mesmer are simultaneously the most powerful of PvE hero classes and the classes who still only have 2 heroes, you have a bit of advantage in being able to run more of those.

Specifically, SoS + 2x ST rits (specializing in different spirits o/c) would be a good build to try. Mesmers have a huge list of effective elites, and you can either specialize them all into their own set build (Keystone for damage + utility, Panic for interruption + damage, Fevered Dreams for mass conditions everywhere + damage) or just go all out on one elite like PI or Energy Surge.

Otherwise, you can run more 'fun' gimmicks like 6x SF 1x ToF paragon 1x healer or 8x discord, but nothing really amazing compared to a balanced set of rits/necros/mesmers/whatever Anet buffs next.

5 dervish heroes/mercs, all Avatar of Dwayna, spamming mad enchants/flashes.

1 ST rit w/splinter for guaranteed mess.

1 MOP nec w/UA in-case shit strikes.

Obviously, bring buffs (SoH, GDW) for the dervishes for some even extra lulz. C-space with eyes closed through the entire game.

You don't want to put a lot of mesmer skills on a rit. If you do fasting casting will bite you in the butt.

For default I will always take 1 SoS rit, 1 ST rit (skills like disenchantment and dissonance) and a Panic mesmer. Depending on the area I take a Ineptitude mesmer. So can a 2nd ST rit replace a prot monk, to avoid me bringing in too much heal/protection?

Also like I said it seems a nice idea to me to use 3 mesmers. 1 panic, 1 ineptitude and 1 energy surge - energy denial. So after a bit of trying i get:
- panic mesmer
- ineptitude mesmer
- es energy denial mesmer
- sos ritualist + resto
- ST support/offensive spiritspam
- MM Bomber
- Depends.. damage/heal. If I play healer myself I can put damage in here, if I go damage a healer can be here.

The only merc here is a 3rd mesmer, but those mesmers can do really awesome jobs! xD Energy denial + interrupt + anti-melee = a lot less danger.
